Layout Ideas
I created a number of different layouts in PhotoShop using standard categories (and their names) until management and marketing settled on the final categories for the new site. The layouts were shown to marketing and management, fine tuned, and eventually one was selected to be the next incarnation of the corporate website.

Below are the layouts that were not selected, in various stages of tweaking. Click on them to see a larger-view pop-up of the layout. The layout to the right was selected; it too has a larger-view pop-up.

Web Site
This is the implementation of the above chosen layout into an HTML web site. I saved web-optimized versions of all the images in the chosen layout (including mouse-over effect images) and then used those images to create a first and second level page template (including server-side include files). The templates were then used to convert all the information on the old website to the new layout and architecture. New information was also added to the new site.

This is my version of the website, using the templates I made. It is slightly different from the live version of the site, but it it truer to the original design and layout. Note:

• The subtle flash movie on the home page that blends in with the background underneath the right-hand nav-bar buttons
• The blue quote box in the right-hand navigation area of the home page that changes when the links directly above it are moused over
• The page layout is variable width, but the image collages are not (the problem was solved with a table cell background color, but a background image could also have been used)
