Until now, women in the martial arts have had to make do with uniforms designed for their male counterparts. In the spirit of updating tradition, we are very pleased introduce the first hakama designed especially for women.

It's in the fit. Our Women's Hakama is inconspicuously adjusted at the side vents to accommodate women's waistlines and to provide more room in the hips. This results in a smoother fit across the back, and less wrap around the waist. It's a simple adjustment that makes a big difference in the fit and drape of the hakama. Features and options. The Women's Hakama is available with all the variations of the original Bu Jin Design Hakama: three quality fabrics in black or navy, the Traditional or Aiki Style Koshiita, the Regular or Extended Front Panel, and customized length. Three different widths. The Bu Jin Women's Hakama is available in three widths, Small through Large. Since the hakama is a garment with a tie-adjusted fit, each width covers a range of waist and hip sizes. You may find that your hakama size and dogi size are not the same. Please use the size chart to determine your hakama size. Knee patches. If your knees start to wear through, call us about fabric for knee patches.
